Bronx, N.Y. - On Sunday night, a loose dog ran across the street to attack a 4-year-old girl. The dog appears to try to rip the girl away from the woman holding her hand.
Witnesses intervened to help the woman pull the dog off the girl. The dog’s owner showed up with a leash, and warned people to stand back during the struggle.
The girl was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition.

People like this need to go to jail. Period. And the dog should be shot dead in front of him.
I imagine shooting the owner dead in front of the victim, or the victims’ next of kin, isn’t a bad idea either.
Tear out the mutant’s black, rotted heart, shove it into the horrendous owner’s mouth, then shoot the owner. Is that a bad idea or is that just being too poetic?
I think a better punishment would to take all the dog poop and put it in the dog owners’ mouths. Guess that wouldn’t be too disgusting for them as they taste it all the time since they let their dog lick them.

the owner should have jumped in to get his arm chewed. These dog owners are such irresponsible cowards. Kill the horrible hound from hell and sue the crap out of the owner and fine him for having a dangerous animal.
One person commented that it was not the dogs fault that “dogs are to be treated like family not animals.” What a load of crap! She must be sniffing the doggie doo pile that pit nutters use to drug the public into believing this BS. The animal or maybe I should use the term MUTANT animal is a danger to all humans. How many times do we have to hear the “I have a pit of my own….lick you to death….never agressive.” Maybe not when the owner is around. The stupid ATTS test never is done without the owner present nor with other dogs so what use is it. After one severe bite a dog should be put down. Either it is a danger and/or the owner cannot control it and the dog should be taken from them and euthanized. Use the money wasted on retraining to spay and neuter and round up strays and dog fighters. Put the dog fighters in jail where they can see what it is like to be pit bull among human pit bulls. If that was my child I would have stomped that dog to death and the owner when he showed up. The useless four legged piece of excrement, and the crappy owner takes off and zero discussion on prosecution.
Unfortunately, the child was with her grandmother and most grandmothers are no match for a pit bull. Let’s hope there are some male members of this child’s family who will do just that in the near future.
I am continually appalled at the detestable things dogs do. The very word DOG makes me ill. All the green spaces, beaches, nature reserves and streets are contaminated with dog shit and piss. Recently a local woman let her staffordshire bull terrier escape and it was missing for four days until found behind a coffee bar. Naturally the local paper made no reference to potential damage this dog could have caused, nor to its owner’s negligence, but showed a photo of the stupid jerk being reunited with her ‘baby’. When I say that some cultures treat dogs as filthy vermin a common response I get is that those same societies also have no regard for human life and in fact how a society treats dogs is a measure of its civilisation.
That’s ironic-our society is the one that hold human life with no value and dogs as gods. You can ever read mutt maniacs saying this online- that dogs are valuable and humans are worthless! When a dog kills someone it gets ‘rescued’ and ‘rehabilitated’ when it should be shot. The victims of hellhounds are left to go bankrupt and fend for themselves. Awful!!!

We have the same problem in my town. This morning, my neighbors decided to let their dogs out in the yard around 1 a.m., and they started barking like crazy. It made my husband so angry that he went outside to talk to them. People have no respect for others anymore.

I agree. I despise the word “dog,” it is one of the most revolting words in the English language. I have a neighbor – a born-again Christian type – who has a collection of glass dogs (thank God, she doesn’t have a real one) and she’s always fond of saying DOG spelled backwards is GOD (which, of course, means absolutely nothing). One day I’d had enough of her “doggie” talk and told her LIVE spelled backward is EVIL and suggested she read Revelation 22:15. Apparently, she did so and now that she knows what God thinks of dogs, she’s never mentioned those filthy vermin to me again.
On the other hand the Bible says nothing at all about cats so why do people assume that cats are more evil than dogs? in contrary theere is a story. Baby Jesus was cold and fussing, and Mary asked the manger animals to move in closer to warm him. The manger was simply too small to accomplish that, but a little tabby cat came in and nestled next to the baby, and cosseted Him with purring and warmth. Mary was so grateful, she bestowed her own initial, “M” on the cat’s forehead.
Even in the Muslim countries cats are protected and they are even allowed to eat from the same dish as human and are allowed to enter mosques.

I just learned police did no more than issue the owner of this land-shark a summons for having the dog off of a leash and the 4-legged demon is STILL with its owner! Let’s hope the people in the neighborhood get together and kill that monster before it attacks another child.
If an older child ran across the street and attacked a younger child, sending him/her to the hospital, the older child would be placed in juvenile detention at the very least and the parents would get a heck of a lot more than a summons! But if a precious DOG tries to kill a child, it is allowed to go home with its owner!
