by No Dogs Allowed
LAPD officers say the young man chased the puppy into the path of an oncoming bus, and both were struck and killed.
“From what I’m told, he had just picked up the dog when he was struck by the bus,” said LAPD Capt. Maureen Ryan.
Morcell Shelby, the victim’s brother, unwittingly came upon the bodies of his brother and his brother’s puppy as he walked down the street.
“I don’t know what to think. I don’t know what happened,” said Shelby.
Witnesses say the puppy had been chasing a ball, and Shelby ran after it when it ran into the street.
“It’s just an absolute tragedy that we have a loss of life here in the Valley,” said Captain Ryan.
I disagree. I call it absolute Darwinism. Not having a dog would have prevented this accident. And a leash would have, too.
Fortunately, Shelby’s death has been described as a “tragic accident” by the police, and no criminal charges are pending against the driver.
Good riddance, pit-bull loving idiot. I certainly will not be mourning your loss of life upon this Earth.
